The Pastime Club has been donating to athletic groups in the Mendhams and Chesters for nearly a century.  Last year, the nonprofit club donated more than $20,000 to schools and community programs such as Little League, youth soccer and football.    Founded in 1915, the group is one of the area’s most generous sponsors.  There is a sense of responsibility to the surrounding area’s youth.  “It’s the reason the club exists,” says John Petrella, Pastime president.
